Seat Return Terms & Conditions

Adelaide Football Club Seat Return Program

Terms and Conditions

  1. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Seat Return Program (the Program) enables eligible members who are not attending a home game to return their seat to be sold on Ticketek for a membership credit.
  2. All Adelaide Football Club (the Club) members who opt to use the Program are subject to these Terms and Conditions.
  3. In using the Program, members acknowledge that the Program is a membership benefit provided by the Club and not an entitlement of membership. Members cannot seek to recover compensation if they are unable to access the Program at any time during the membership season.
  4. The Program is only available for eligible Reserved Seat memberships. This excludes:
    1. General Admission (GA) memberships (Season GA and Reduced Access GA memberships);
    2. Western Stand (Unreserved) memberships;
    3. Showdown memberships;
    4. Family memberships;
    5. Cheersquad memberships;
    6. Corporate customers; and
    7. Complimentary memberships (i.e., companions or carers).
  5. The Program is only available for the Club’s eligible home games during the Toyota AFL Premiership Season. This excludes Gather Round, Finals Series (should the Club participate) and any AFLW or SANFL games.
  6. Members who are in arrears on the 10-monthly, 6-monthly or 4 monthly payment plans will have their membership account blocked and will be ineligible to use the Program. The Club may in its discretion release the member’s seat to Ticketek for resale in the week of the next home match and all proceeds of that resale (if any) will be retained by the Club and not credited to the member. If the member’s seat has been resold, the member will not be able to access the match (or proceeds of the resale) even if the member has paid all outstanding amounts in the period between the seat being released for resale and the match.
  7. A member whose membership account has been blocked will become eligible to access the Program again once all outstanding amounts are paid and they have contacted Member Services to have their membership account unblocked.
  8. If a member forwards their seat to another person via the official Crows app, the member will be ineligible to access the Program to return that seat.
  9. Eligible members can return their seats using the online portal (via crowsmembership.com.au) or over the phone with Member Services. A member who sends in an email request will not have successfully returned their seat unless they have received confirmation via response email.
  10. Once a seat has been successfully returned:
    1. the member cannot have their seat retrieved for that match;
    2. the membership barcode is retired for that match;
    3. the membership card (whether digital or physical) cannot be used for entry into the venue or for use of the seats during that match; and
    4. the membership barcode cannot be used for a seat upgrade for that match.
  11. Returned seats will be released to Ticketek at intervals leading up to the game as determined by the Club and Ticketek. Members using the Program accept that seats may be released to Ticketek and advertised online with less than 24 hours until the match.
  12. Members will be advised via email if their seat has been successfully or unsuccessfully on-sold, within a fortnight after the match.
  13. If a seat is successfully sold for a match, a credit will be issued to the member to be used only towards the renewal of their membership for the next season. Credits obtained through the Program cannot be substituted, credited as a payment towards the current membership season, paid as a refund, used for hospitality or for any other use.
  14. For seats that are successfully on-sold for a match, a credit equivalent to 1/11th of the base price of the membership will be credited to the member towards the renewal of their membership for the next season.
  15. The base price of a Reserved Seat membership will be calculated by removing the $150.00 adult gold-add on or $90 junior gold-add on (if applicable) then dividing by 11.
  16. If a member has received a discount on their Reserved Seat membership for the current membership season, their base price and the calculation of their Seat Return credit will be adjusted accordingly.
  17. The total amount of credit that can be earned through the Program is capped at the base price of the membership.
  18. On a once-off basis, members may access the Program at the start of the membership season to return all eligible seats in that season. In the next or any subsequent season, members are prohibited from returning more than 50% of their eligible seats for that season.
  19. Members will only receive a credit if their seat is successfully on-sold via Ticketek. There is no guarantee that a seat will be sold if returned for resale. The Club is under no obligation to provide members with a credit or any other benefit if their seat is not successfully on-sold.
  20. Wheelchair Reserved Seat memberships are eligible for the Program; however, the corresponding companion or carer Reserved Seat must be returned with Wheelchair Reserved Seat (if applicable). If the pair of Reserved Seats are successfully on-sold, only the Wheelchair Reserved Seat will be given a credit as the companion is a complimentary membership.
  21. Members may only return their seats in advance for matches which have had the date and time finalised by the AFL.
  22. Seats can only be released to Ticketek for on-selling for a given match if returned before the applicable cut-off times. The Club maintains sole discretion for determining weekly cut-off times. Any members who attempt to return their seats after the cut-off times accept that they may lose their seat for that match and still be ineligible for a ticket resale.
  23. The cut-off times are:
    1. For games on Saturday or Sunday, by 11.59pm Adelaide local time on the Thursday immediately prior;
    2. For games on Friday, by 11.59 pm Adelaide local time on the Wednesday immediately prior; and
    3. For games on Thursday, by 11.59am Adelaide local time on the Wednesday immediately prior.
  24. If the cut off time falls on a public holiday, then the cut off time will be 11.59pm two business days immediately prior to the public holiday.
